I graduated from the University of Houston a year ago, yet I am not able to receive my transcript because I currently owe the school $23,000 dollars. I bet you are wondering how do you rack up a $23,000 dollar bill? First I was an out of state student so I had to pay out of state fees. Second I never receive a letter from my school stating that that FASFA was being audited, thus because of this I missed the deadline for financial aid. Third nor my parents or I are able to get any private student loans because we do not have good credit. I am from New Orleans, La and, after losing our home in Hurricane Katrina and, my parents losing their jobs we were unable to keep up with our bills, which in return cause a decrease in our credit score. All year long in 2009 I have been so depressed and, I have been thinking about how life isn’t fair. I always try my best to be the best person I can be, I attend church regularly, I volunteer, I always give money to poor, basically I try to be good human being. Yet through all of my efforts, it seems to me that no matter what I do, I can never come on top. But in 2010 I plan to stop feeling sorry for myself and, get my life together. First I plan to work two jobs for the next six months, from 8am to 3pm I am going to do substitute teaching and from 5pm-11pm I will work as a waitress at local restaurant. As a substitute I get paid $70 dollars a day and roughly $1200 a month. With this income I plan to pay off my credit card and other bill debt in order to raise my credit score. Whiling working at the restaurant I am hoping to make at least $400 dollars a week and roughly $1600 a month. I will save all the money I get from the restaurant a month ($1600) and then used $400 dollars from the day job and, save $2000 a month for five months which will equal $10,000. Thus if I win this contest and I save $10,000 I will only be $3000 dollars away from goal of getting my transcript. I plan to obtain the last $3000 by asking family member
