My Everest is: Creating a video production
Veteran
I am a credentialed prior-service United States military veteran. My family has a long history of proud military service. My grandmother even worked extremely hard during WWII for serving as well as possible. She is one of thousands of women who went to work during the war building ships for the United States military. The ships, LST's were operated by Naval personnel and carried Army personnel and equipment to the overseas theaters of engagement. About 2-3 years ago I was able to visit the actual site where one of the shipyards used to be. I have also seen general pictures and a yearbook of the shipyard, as well as photographs of my grandmother from when she was working there. One of my Everest's and hearts desire is to help tell the story by way of a video production. During the drive back to town from that site, I knew without a doubt that a terrific story is waiting to be told. I am aware that other books on the subject have been written and that numerous movies have already been made. But I also know that nothing on a large scale has been accomplished about this particular subject with a focus on that site. The true Everest would be to capture the events on a grand scale that took place nation-wide during that time. For now at least beginning where my grandmother worked during the war would be a wonderful place to start.

want to help this person with their everest?
where am i?

I have conducted preliminary research on the subject and talked to my grandmother as much as she has cared to tell me about it. I can also gather more information as needed.

how am i stuck?

I wish for as much quality as possible in this and would like to put together a small team to help me in the production. The help of this contest would help me achieve my goal toward this Everest.
